Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence

See the book at Amazon.com here.

NOTE: This is the one and only book that I recommend by the author.  This is not to say that other of her writings are guided by the Holy Spirit in Truth and Authority.  But this is the only one that I am lead to , if you will, and have been lead by the Holy Spirit to share as a safe and edifying book.

We go to church on Sundays or Wednesdays, hear a Wonderful and Helpful message from Pastor Greg or our Own Pastor, Priest, etc., and then what happens to many of Us?

By Monday or Tuesday, the message fades, and even though:

Sitting in church we said to ourself, Pastor is talking to me right now! Ever happen?  Because as Pastor Greg tells us, WE MUST STAY IN THE WORD EVERY DAY ELSE WE GROW DIM!

I have to listen to one of his Sermons each and every morning, while I use the heating pad on my back pain each day, so that I can feel Christ’s presence right away.  The Sermon I  list just below this sentence, shares with us the power of giving thanks to God each day, when a problem hits us:

“How Can Thanksgiving Set Me Free?”

How can we prevent Life’s Worries, Family, Job, Friends, Housework from taking us in the opposite direction of Christ’s help the rest of the week?

Here’s how, and Pastor Greg has done everything short of whacking us over the head, to get us to remember to do this.

Spend 10 or 15 minutes of time alone with God. Not at 1 PM, not after You wake the kids up. Not after you do that load of laundry,

but first thing.

And this is the only Book/Devotional, that I have ever used or read in my entire life (and I have a library of 40 or 50 Spiritual books), this is the only book, that literally has Jesus talking to me, and showing me THAT DAY, HOW TO HARNESS HIS DIRECT HELP TO OVERCOME THE DAYS PROBLEMS OR CHALLENGES:

“Jesus Calling by Sarah Young” here.

Okay Art, so what do you mean, Jesus talks to you right then and there from this book?

Well , below I have typed word for word the Sunday, May 11, Devotional of Jesus calling me on Mother’s Day or any day, this just so happened to be a Sunday, which i
s when many of us, let Monday stir up Anxiety on Sunday.  To apply the book and Pastor’s sermon, do this.  Read the entire devotional message below, read it a few times.  Then pick up your Bible and read the Scripture verses that the days message is developed from.   Take it a step further, write those verses down on a 3 by 5 index card and find a place away from people that may want to talk to you and just walk, read the verses and think about what Christ was telling you to do in the devotional.  This is taking things out of your humanly controlled mind, and letting you give Christ control to lead you.  Is your cell phone ringer turned off?  Are you talking to people on your walk, or are you staying silent and reflecting on the Scripture and the Devotional?  If you don’t get your answer right away, don’t worry, you will, you definitely will, this is Faith.  This is Belief.   And when the negative automatic tapes of doubt start playing tomorrow, if your answer is not there yet, remind yourself to read the devotional again Monday, and also re-read Sunday’s and the day before, and talk to Christ out loud.  Turn it over to him, and stop following your own plan, okay, now read :)   ;

“Thank Me For Your Problems. As soon as your mind gets snagged on a difficulty, bring it to me with thanksgiving. Then ask me to show My way to handle the situation. The very act of thanking Me releases your mind from it’s negative focus. As you turn your attention to Me, the problem fades in significance and loses its power to trip you up. Together we can deal with the situation, either facing it head-on or putting it aside for later consideration.

Most of the situations that entangle your mind are not today’s concerns; you have borrowed them from tomorrow. In this case, I lift the problem out of today and deposit it in the future , where it is veiled from your eyes. In its place I give you My Peace, which flows freely from My Presence.”

Philippians 4:6 John 14:27

Do the same thing again , later today, and if you’re busy, then at least read the devotional again, and just keep calling on Christ with the instructions he gives you in the book with Scripture Readings too.  And spend time listening or watching the Sermon I posted above about giving Thanks to God.  He WILL, give you your answer !

My Personal Testimonial of how this book works and how Faith works 🙂
