The Duty of the Christian – Sermon – October 16 2011

What is duty?  What is the Duty of the Christian?  What does the world today say or practice, in regards to duty?  Why does society teach, follow your heart?    Why does the Bible teach us, that following our feelings, is not our friend?    How many people in the World, followed their heart, and were led straight to tragedy and evil?   How about Susan Smith?  How about Casey Anthony?  Why is it important to ask God to help you recognize the feelings and emotions going on in your heart, and to give you the courage to pay attention to your feelings?  Why does God want us to have both our thoughts and our feelings working together as we serve him?
