The Parable of the Sower – Mark 4:1-9

Whenever the word of God is preached, there are going to be different responses to it.  When you hear Pastor preach to you the word of God – what is your response to it?  How does it affect you? Does it change your life?  Does it affect you none at all?  Does if affect you little?  Does it change you much?

The sower in this parable is Jesus or anyone who preaches Jesus’s word, the Word of God. The seed in this case is the word that is preached.  The word of God is like a seed.  The seed falls into four (4) different soils in the story.  Birds, rocks, thorns and fruit affect the seed.

Listen to the 2-Part Video Sermon below, or the 1-Part MP3 Audio (both are below, Videos then Audio) , to determine how your heart is affected, and what this Parable means to us, as taught by Jesus.

Scriptures used in the church bulletin:

Psalm 92: 5-9, 12-15,  Isaiah 5: 1-7,  Hebrews 6: 1-12,  Mark 4: 1-9

Keywords: the hard heart , a shallow heart is the rocky soil, thorns are a crowded heart,

Does God have anger with us at times? Who can stand before it? Is God Loving, Anger, both? Is God provoked to anger, righteous indignation, by our sins and wickedness and unbelief? What hope do we have He is not angry with us when we consider OUR sins?  When you return to God, in repentance of sins, looking to Jesus, there is no more anger, no more wrath, only smiles and joy.
