Was the story of Job in the Old Testament a rather extreme example of Suffering for a Man, and how can we learn from what happened to Job? What are God’s purposes for us in suffering, in the trials of a Christian? When we get hit by despair and tribulation we often ask, Why is God letting this happen to me? Does he still love me? Why has he cast me off so? Am I forgotten or abandoned by God?
